Let me get this right – the war in Iraq is going to hell – Bush’s popularity is shot – Oil production may have peeked – So what do the masterminds in the Bush administration shout about? Gay marriage… No doubt this is an attempt to rally bush’s last supporters around the right wing flag, the world might be going to hell in a hand basket, but they can still do a little minority bashing.
There is a whiff of last days of empire around this sort of pathetic outburst, but perhaps the real value of Bush is that he has politicised the whole of America. Perhaps next time around the people of the USA will give some more thought to the future of the world and elect a president with a brain.
