Letsatsi game lodge
As part of the annual Scorpio dinner, Barbara invited us all to lunch/brunch/dinner at Letsatsi – the web site needs some work, it doesn’t convey any real sense of this amazing game lodge. Unfortunately we were far too bloated from the endless buffet courses to take up the offer of a game drive.
The guys did get in the Land Rover to look at the new animals, including the famous Rhino “Letsotsi” who escaped a few months back to terrorized the local road before being darted from a helicopter (there isn’t much else you can do with a rampant rhino – a small truck doesn’t stand a chance)
These are the most dangerous animals in Africa (apart from the mosquito) – fortunately fenced in before they were let loose on the game reserve
Apparently when confronted with one of these beasties you can either stand still or run – our guide said you didn’t stand a chance running, but he would run.
But this is the spot for putting your boots up and doing a bit of shooting and drinking.
